Probably down to the fact that whenever someone answers a post, they get abuse or flamed, normally for assuming.

Whilst I agree that the tone & content of certain posts & threads has been a bit OTT of late, I think that there has been a certain amount of knee-jerk overreaction to this which has caused posts to be censored & threads to be closed down.

I am all for keeping the forum on an even keel but personally would not want to see it become bland, ersatz & overtly politically correct.

my shift key isnt dfective, well it could be(i dont know), i just dont know where it is,

i have a space on my keyboard where it used to be, but its not there anymore,

so, not so much a defective key, as a keyboard with missing parts.

yes, before some smartass points out, i can shift sometimes, if i start faffing around with the mouse and virtual keyboard or use the numlock bit thing.

However joking apart there is only one reason why I am still here as opposed to other so called help forums and that is this is the best one. Its that simple.

I have never met anyone from this forum, and yet I see you all as friends.

Late nights it becomes a light hearted meeting place, god knows I have posted many a I love you post when I have come back home from a heavy night out.

I have very strong views and express them, but I am no idiot and have learned plenty from some of the young guys on this forum, and I have been proven wrong by some and all I can do is thank them for putting me right.

I am a far better humble electrician now than I ever was, and thats down to this forum.

I did a post way back and just found the thread link, I think that says it all.

Then again I know everything and nothing.(remember that).
