The reason that the threshold was set at 16A ( not by us) is that is considered a reasonable amount per household as any more can cause voltage rise on our network. We are in fact experiencing voltage rise on our 33kV network in parts of Cornwall.
We are getting as you can imagine Housing Associations applying for 60-70 properties in the same street.
Our limit is 1% voltage rise at the common point of coupling to our network( The cable joint or Overhead service connection)
