Just in case anyone was thinking of using it and is it any good. I used it today for the first time on 7 J/B's. All going to be buried under a patio. Although pricey I thought it was great stuff. Obviously it will take a lot of time to tell if any water creeps in in but from what I saw today it looked as tight as a ducks arse in a sandstorm. Quiet happy that my boxes will be safe buried out of site.

It was exisiting SWA which I'm feeding six patio spots from and the feed I'm nicking from an exisiting 6mm cable to a garden shed. A freind phoned me and asked can I fit some lights/give him some advice. Basically I went on there on Saturday, patio being laid on Monday so it was on the quick as I could only go back o the Monday.  SWA's terminated in said J/B's terminated in wago's at each light. Flex to each spot.  I only carry out installation work for family and frinds nowadays. Why?

Daft idea IMHO - these so called "sealed" units start leaking sooner or later ........... did you fuse down?

I ran a 4mm with an IP fused  spur for the lights so if they change their mind about a socket they can have one at a later date.  Sealed units leaking? The MP Gel inside the sealed units is the whole point? Other wise I wouldn't be burying them? It's rated to IP68 to a depth of up to 15meters. I would think that pretty much covers it? Or am I missing something?

BTW was I meant to take offence at being asked as to whether I 'fused down'? Who wouldn't from a 6mm SWA fed with a 32amp breaking you're nicking for some spots? I mean, I could have just run 6mm SWA to all of the spots but I think termination might have been a little tight. :innocent

Ive used it on a couple of recent jobs in the same way you have & can concur it is sound.

Hope they are not Knightsbridge carp .... the provide flex will fail after about 2 years
Two,years?  TWO,YEARS!

how the hell did you manage two years from the festering pile of putrid dog faeces left in a plastic bag for a month in the sun to mature?

most f their stuff fails straight out of the box...this is called their 'straight to bin range'

some of their stuff is very good, very good indeed. Unfortunately I haven't found it yet

local house to me, prob £1.75/2M

all lights are ****esbridge

owners says to me...no expense spared, all lights are hand made by Shightsbridge and the board is a Europa one. He also, spent over £5k on his wife's bog!....just the sitting bit, not the room, just the bog

I did ask Knightsbridge about their failure rate ..... due to the poor quality Far East sourced cable ...... they were less than sympathetic

so to ml labs / Knightsbridge prospective customers ..... these products are rubbish so don’t buy them ......
