Wylex make loads of CU's. Can you be more specific?

Ian.

It was the 5+5 17th edition. Cant recall the catalogue number sorry.

Most wholesalers do deals on consumer units WF where doing deals on MK and Wylex I think. They where doing 10 way mk 17th edition cu with 8 mcb's for

Are you finding prices changing again with the re-adjustment of the VAT rate?

Mine have gone up 20% (joking). I would imagine most places will automatically adjust there prices. I reset my computer last night. Back to 17.5%.

VAT rate readjustment, need to look into that, lot less publicity about the increase I notice.

As for the CU, I get mine loads cheaper from the wholesalers, depending where I go there's a few decent makes I can get cheaper, MK, Domae and Wylex OTTOMH.

Back up on 1st January.

You can get them new off ebay for around 55 +10quid postage. with mcbs. I have been tempted but I still prefer the wholesalers incase anything goes wrong.

And with Wylex high failure rate that could happen.

Thanks Batty, I will have a ring around. I do have accounts but to be honest its more the size, 340mm wide and not very high, that I was after the newer ones are taller. I would love to do Rcbo's and always do on rewires but board changes seem too competitive, always offer both prices, they always go for the cheapest.
I don't do that many board changes although I have about 3 or 4 to do at the moment, Generally they turn out to be a pain in the bum so if I can find better jobs thats what I do.

Batty

You would be surprised but best price i have had recently on Wylex CUs was my local CEF

If you want a Budget CU, try the "Pro Elec" ones from CPC.

In a recent special offers brochure, they have dual RCD split load 12 way CU's with 7 MCB's included for

I saw those but TBH it's not much less than I pay for Wylex ones from the wholesalers so not worth it IMO.
