Smokers tend to always look at what they can do for themselves and what they have saved. My misses smokes and I say to her think about you son not your pocket.

............ about £30,000 NOT spent on **** .

Memo to self:   search pockets & cupboards , it must be somewhere. :C
Most of my not spent cash has gone on booze.  I'm a getting a right gut on now!

Need to cut down a bit on the drinking now X(

I used to work with a guy who reckoned the establishment need you to ,  Get a job  , smoke , drink & run a car so your taxes support the system , pay the present pensions and then don't live too long on retirement  'cos they can't afford  you .

Watching my dad die a horrible death ( are there any nice ones? being fellated to death perhaps?) from a rather innocuous little lung disease has meant me buying and using a full face dust mask respirator thingy as the half face ones don't seal on my twisted nose.

Had a few sniggers from site lads but that doesn't bother me none, they'd change their tune if they could see that hospital ward.

And non smoking since 2007 for me, though I used to smoke prison roll ups so I reckon since then I've probably saved around seven pound fifty :slap

Just a note to the guys that vape,

When my missus was pregnant with our little 'un she tried giving up and started vaping,

Her nurse told her to STOP it immediately and just try cutting down on the cigs as they have NO idea what damage these things will do, and probably won't know for many years to come,

Remember asbestos, that miracle material from a few years back,?!?!

Interesting. This nurse has no idea what damage, if any but advised her to carry on with something that is know for causing untold death each year.

Yep, but cut down and obviously try and quit, the missus got down to 2 a day,

They know the damage of smoking, vaping is an unknown if it is less, or potentially much worse alternative.

As I said,

How wonderful was asbestos when first introduced,?

Oh, Btw, the statistics of death are very vague depending on who you believe,

Is it actually the tobacco or the chemicals therein that cause the damage I've always wondered.......

They changed their tune...

http://www.nhs.uk/news/2015/08August/Pages/E-cigarettes-95-per-cent-less-harmful-than-smoking-says-report.aspx

Then they got some kick backs.

Then the Eu changed the law ( more kick backs ).

Good post  Monkey ....I too , unfortumately , had to watch my Dad die in a similar manner ....well  nuff said .

Cigarettes are so cheap here it would be rude not to smoke. Even after the last budget they're still less than a pound for a pack of 20. PPE like masks and decent knee pads cost an absolute fortune.....go figure. :well-confused:

sounds like population control to me. ;)

Way more interesting than here, we're over run by sick and disabled old people not working, living forever, clogging up the system and costing the government loads of money that could be spent on moats, duck houses and high class hookers.

No wonder they are so keen to replace us with a an entirely foreign workforce.

:tongue in cheek :tongue in cheek

Marvo ,  I think they are £7 per pack  here .  Is that a British £ you mean .

Is your currency the Rand  or what?

Catch you later .

Yeah it's the Rand and I meant the British Pound but I don't have the '£' sign on my keyboard. They're about ZAR22.00 a packet, which I think is less than a UK pound at the moment.
