Now there's a phrase I never fully understood, as I thought 'New boots' are stronger more robust and tougher than old boots which are generally more susceptible to falling apart?

Back in the day we had to run conduit into a block of flats for BT, 1 run per flat

i had the brainwave of buying it 'on a roll'........think big plastic slinky

we tried putting it in a 50 gal drum of water that we heated up on a big fire, took it down the road to a customers and sat it on their boiler,......total,waste of time . As far as I recall it was still in the boiler room when site got demolished

I don’t know, but up until last year is was still wearing Dr Martins I bought when I was 20. 43 years ain’t bad going.
