    Glanding SWA

Needs to be glanded correctly at both ends! Regardless of the type of installation.  Having the load end gland connected to something conductive is however, dependent on installation.

    EICR Certificate

How much did you pay for the EICR. In cases like this (not always) cheapest quote, is usually the cheapest for a reason. You get the bare minimum.

    That's the car ramp fixed.

Just look at how badly drawn the "crumple zones" are. In this case it's very obvious.

    The Vaccine...

Why not try something on https://www.skillshare.com/ (Other learning sites are available, just this ones one I've used). Loads of different courses that teach just about anything on anything. Think it cost me a tenner a month for access to everything they offer.

    The Vaccine...

There is no way you could possibly know you had Covid-19 in March 2019.  Did you have tests back then confirming it?

    So, let me just say

In the grand scheme of things 2020 hasn't really been all that bad. We're all still living in a first world country with far more benefits and freedoms than a lot of the world. Even with the lockdowns!

And now for the latest scam!

My car insurer in the USA gave me and all of its members quite a substantial rebate on car insurance due to less usage.  My car insurance in the UK tried again to increase my premium with an automatic renewal.

    Working at Hinkley Point C

I designed a test rig, that was situated about 100 miles from the site, just to prove concept.  Nuclear standards were followed and that was the same experience, what was expected to be a 6 week job took 18 months.  Who cares when it's the tax payer footing the bill right?! Thankfully our...

    Working at Hinkley Point C

If it's anything like sellafield almost 1000% more.  Installation time was same as standard. Paperwork took months.  Edit: This was for a control system, nothing fancy though and nothing safety related.  The safety projects I've done there, forget it, unless you're employing someone full time...

    Antibody test..

I've had it.  An it showed I have antibodies for it.  Wasn't unexpected with the amount I travel for work.  I've not had any symptoms.  Nothing wrong with needles. Far less intrusive than donating blood.

Dual speed 3 phase motor from single phase supply

No, you can't put 2 legs of a split phase system an create 3 phase with only a transformer.  Strip the motor out, find one that will run on 230V three phase and still meets your other requirements, size, rrpm etc..  Then buy an inverter to run it.  All of this I presume is for personal home...

Dual speed 3 phase motor from single phase supply

What you want to do is possible.  Unless you got this new lathe at an extremely low low price, you'd have saved a ton of money getting something suitable.
