Hello all

Have an issue
So I have 9 viridian pv16-335 panels fitted by roofers

I’ve just come along to test and connect up we have just taken over from another company.

So issue is getting 330v dc but 1 amp.

So stripped system and tested each panel in sunlight it’s getting 34v but 1.5 amps.

To me I think each panel is faulty as I have this issue in 3 different houses.

Inverter comes on sees the dc voltage but no amps.

Thanks for any help on this huge issue.

What's the weather like where you are? Mine are currently outputting 0.1amps, just a few watts, coz it's dark and cloudy.
At the time it was sunny
No cloud in the sky.

I think it’s the panels, as there was one in a garage same make and I tested that I got 32 volts and 4.6 amps of one panel.

Have emailed viridian about the readings.

so have you actually fired up the system? One greay thing about inverers is that they self check the panels and AC side, and generally speaking, if it fires up, it's fine.

Yes the inverter was showing voltage but just kept saying waiting.

Was a foxess inverter never had any issues before with them.
Have replaced inverter but still the same.

I’m back there tomorrow hopefully it’s sorted it’s self out.

Don’t want to replace panels means roof stripped and a scaffold built again 🤣

OP - are you a spark doing PV installations ?
Yes I am an electrician.
System has started working now,

Fitted panels today same model but readings were good compared to fitted ones.

Will have to wait until I get a clear day and I can check them again before I sign the system off.
