    Not 100% sure but I would of thought so. You can still do the NVQ3 though as you have industry experience and related qualifications to the underpinning knowledge that's required.

    most builders use fire batt and just use intumescent mastic on any gaps. This could over board the existing ceiling in the riser  using fire resistant fixings in to the joists...

    Yeah I've seen 2 strings in one of those isolators before with the links removed :yellow card  lol. I've also seen pics before of the same isolator that caught  fire whilst being turned off, it turned  out the links had been removed from that one as well.

    Them ABB rotary isolators are designed for DC as well,  they normally have black links between terminals. I'm guessing the links were removed?
