    HD TV

Sorry you are incorrect and I was partially incorrect SkyHD, BBC HD broadcast in 1080i but still 1080, neither by defult broadcast in 720p for reasons I have stated before and as you elude to, e.g it would be pointless And I agree HD Ready = 720p is misleading but it was developed for the NTSC...

    BT incoming cable

It's a standard reply or script designed to frighten off callers so maintain profits for the shareholders You are meant to kept paying full price for a substandard service and not be a nuisance I had a customer ask me to look at a crackling line, I traced it back to corrosion in a 1940's...

    HD TV

I would agree 37" and above you would begin to see the benefit, conversely SD will look worse on a larger screen if no upscaling is taking place, basically there is less detail to fill the grater number of lines An example of a known HD source providing good results, I carry two reference...

    2391 chief examiners report

Possibly a reflection of the commercial aspect of training centres, C&G might be advised to adopt a league table approach for 2391, but I dare say that might not go down too well with the centres and it would be cynical to suggest that for commercial reasons candidates are not dissuaded even...

    todays cctv job

well it sounds like the difference in encoding frames, JPEG is a stills format used in all digital cameras, your DVR must be using Motion JPEG (MJPEG) so individual frames are larger and would retain more detail at the expense of capacity, MPEG differs in that you have Key frames (P Frames)...

    Whats it mean ?

Can't say I'm surprised The worrying bit is that they bricked thousands of PC's in the US last year due to a flawed update Now I just knew you'd come back on that comment, included it just to see if you would, and you did not disappoint :P

There you are Specs, I have saved you some typing You forgot about that he cashed in his shares just before the price bombed Now you know why self employed has it's attractions, you only have one boss 'she who shall be obeyed' and the only silly ideas come from the ankle biters 'bless'

Oh so true, not so long ago I was a senior manager with direct responsibility of sales turnover in the several 10's of millions, I was very good at hitting targets, because I'd been in the business for 20 years so understood it (e.g. the experience as Specs has eluded to), my very much younger...
