    query sub-standard cable

Now I'm scared, can't remember for sure, white sheath marked with yellow writing. Would this withdrawn cable have been supplied by electric centre earlier this year?

    query sub-standard cable

We've had it a lot with LSF that the outer sheath is a ****** to strip from insulation of cores, especially with the 2.5 twin & earth. Reported it to supervisor who reported it to wholesaler - nothing happened. I can't remember the brand but I remember cable was spelled Kable. My mate...

What colour is it where you are ?

I read somewhere, sinced new colours all white sheath is LSF, and grey is PVC, old colours you could have white or grey sheath. Bloke who wired my house many moons ago used grey for loop and white for switch drops. But I'm up North from you.

Just to clarify (i'm still learning)... solder up the hole rather than splitting the pipe and soldering in a coupler? So far... i havn't pierced a pipe - quickly touching wood here mind. I've had a joiner put a floor board back down with 4 inch 10's, good fix - through cable. Same place...

A recent study conducted by Oxford University found that the average Briton walks about 900 miles a year. Another study by the British Medical Association found that Britons drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. This means, on average, Britons get about 41 miles to the gallon. This...

    R1+R2

Just a question, but, is the shower itself an electric one? Brother in law has one of those fancy jobs too. The shower is off the gas water heating system. The radio, lights and fancy bits just spured off the ring, so, a flex is ample. I didn't put it in so thats the limit of my knowledge...

    More advise

I have a cheap toolbox set that is great most of the time, as they are always there. Spent 40 mins trying to rod up a wall filled with insulation a couple of weeks ago but just couldn't find the target. Spat my dummy, and went for the propper set and attached the torch fitting. Tried again...
