    Suggestions please!

BG units worth a look, fitted a few recently and pretty sure the 8 way would fit in the dimensions quoted, also their RCBO's are only the size of an MCB and quite nice boards to fit. Have you considered talking the customer into getting a bigger cupboard?

    Certification question

absolutely no way would I do it. Its a special location so its notifiable. Needs to be inspected at every stage of the job so might as well be done by a proper spark.

Homeowner reported getting a shock from the taps !!!!

people have been killed from these kind of mishaps. Most common was instead of using 3 core and earth for a boiler feed so you can have perm L and switched, someone decided to use twin &e and use the E for a L feed. Somewhere along the cable it got cut and bonded to the sink. Someone was killed.

    Circulating Pump Motors Power Factors

most places have automatic PF correction in the form of 2 or 3 stages of capacitor banks that come in when the load/ PF requires it

    Circulating Pump Motors Power Factors

As John says, the higher the figure, the closer to a unity (ie voltage and current in phase) you get and the greater efficiency. Power in an AC circuit is VIs cos (havent got a symbol for 'fie' the greek symbol for it but the cos is the phase angle and the amount the current is lagging the voltage.

    Some Electrics Have Stopped Working

if in doubt turn off the garage unit and then try turning the switches next to the T buttons in the main unit off and on again. Sounds like one of the 2 RCDs has tripped and if the fault remains it will not reset

    Some Electrics Have Stopped Working

    Some Electrics Have Stopped Working

if you pressed the T button and its not doing anything then I suggest you flip the switch next to it to the up position which will re set it. Then establish why its tripped (dodgy grinder?)

So will the ICE be banned or not?

still not convinced its £30k well spent

So will the ICE be banned or not?

number plates nicked... police are looking for a bloke called Reg. Just looked on Autotrader. 10 year old Nissan Leaf, about £5k. range - 25-40 miles. And that will drop with increased use making it pretty much worthless anytime soon. Will stick to my 15 year old BMW - puts a smile on my face...

Well it seems pointless working these days?

Just paid £30 insurance premium tax on a buildings and contents policy, yet another stealth tax, brought in in 1993 at 2.5% now about 6% I think. Everything is taxed to the hilt. 2.5% pay rise, 10% inflation, 1.25% increase in NI contributions its all getting out of hand.

    Backwards step?

personally, I think a full on EV, with a range extending very efficient petrol engine with a generator running at constant RPM in the boot as a range extender would be a big improvement. Mazda were experimenting woth a small horizontally mounted rotary with this in mind. Vauxhall Ampera and BMW...
