Is it possible to replace NOBO 512 with another Heating Controller e.g. Dimplex?

The controller is not connected to the immersion heater so is unlikely to have 'blown' it is more likely that for some reason or other the programming has become incorrect. as a start point check the programming of the zones, including the last two zones (11 and 12) which have special functions...

    Supply to shed

Stability is best expressed a percentage variation over time,  conversely there will will also be no regulation specifically allowing a single rod to be used, but there is a requirement for reliability, stability and ability to safely handle any fault current.

    Supply to shed

Twin and skin is hardly a hip name, it's a term that's been around for a long long time and isn't really relevant anymore. Strictly speaking twin and skin is two core insulated and sheathed cable which dates back to the times when the 'skin' would have been TRS or lead  but anyway, the term...

    Supply to shed

What time of year, type of soil, quantity of moisture in the soil? Did you take readings at different times of the year to confirm the stability? Was that Ze definitely a product of just that earth electrode or were there any parallel paths involved?  How did you determine that such a small...

    Loft wiring

Thats a very open question! Sockets are normally cabled under the floors of a room, so drilled through the joist's, and cables in a loft would be run on top of the ceiling collars and hopefully clipped

    garage supply

A rod cannot have a Ze though, Ze is a property of the incoming supply. What you should have said is that you have a TT supply with a Ze of 0.16, a rod on its own cant have a Ze. if people don't have the appropriate test equipment then they shouldn't be working on that equipment  Gas and...

    Loft wiring

Roof timbers, including the ceiling collars should not be drilled or notched. When a floor joist's size is calculated an allowance is factored in to the calculation for service holes to be made, this is not done with roof timbers as there is no logical need for service holes. also the stresses...

    Supply to shed

How have you proved the stability of those readings? Being only 4' deep it will be far more susceptible to seasonal changes than a deeper electrode.  Around here 2x 8' rods spaced around 12' apart normally achieve an Ra below 20ohm  that at all depends on how you define acceptable, a value of...

    Supply to shed

No, and that's not what I said.  It is not possibly to get it below 200 ohms sometimes, but what is always possible is to install a decent earth made up of multiple electrodes which achieves a good degree of stability and reliability. what is not acceptable in my opinion is to install a single...

    Supply to shed

Stability and reliability would be a good start, and hopefully removing reliance on RCDs.  A well installed earth electrode system with a low overall Ra is going to have far better long term reliability and fault current handling ability than a single rod of high value.  Plus of course there...

    Multiple light fitting with LEDs

I doubt that would help, a resistive load would be more likely to cure the problem (as can be demonstrated by adding a single halogen lamp) LED lamps are already presenting a capacitive load to the transformer so increasing that capacitive load won't help, adding a small resistive load does help.

    Supply to shed

No, it would hopefully be a damned sight less than that!

    Supply to shed

Nope, there is a minor note in the regulations which suggests that values above 200 may not be stable, nothing to do with 'what is said to become unstable'. It's not any form of recommended or maximum value just a very annoying note which a lot of people seem to take as a target value

Selling Property With No Earthing to Lighting

Its not in the regs, there is no provision for this within the regulations it is something dreamed up by the niceic and their cronies at the ESC

    Two ovens + halogen hob

A 4mm ring is possible, but you will have to justify it through calculations and design paperwork as it is not following a standard circuit arrangement. far simpler would be to run a new supply to the new oven,

    1st Cable Tray Job

I've had dealings with these hollow clay block constructions before, there is usually a very narrow band of solid concrete between the blocks. the best thing to do it fix to the wall as mentioned above, some unistrut cantilever brackets would do nicely.
