    Hithuf NYY-J

Hi guys, I've been looking at using Hituf cable for a bit of outdoor lighting (clipped direct to a brick wall, not buried etc.). Is NYY-J cable the same thing as Hituf? I know 'Hituf' is a brand name of Draka. Thanks again in advance.

    Light Switch - Minor works?

Hi guys A colleague has asked me to replace a bathroom pull-cord switch which has packed up (her hubby is hopeless at DIY). I'm going to issue a Minor Works for this, but just wondered what you would do in the same situation?

At college it was drummed into us that dead tests should be done with the main switch open. This is great at college, but not practical in the real world. When testing insulation resistance on a single circuit in a live board (when the main switch can't be turned off for whatever reason) we...

Hi guys, not posted for a while but have been doing lots of reading on this forum. I came across talk of dong a 'seperation of circuits test', for example when dong a cu change. Can someone kindly explain what that is as that's not something they taught us on the 2330. Cheers

    Greetings

Hi there. I've read a few electrical forums lately, and this one does seem much friendlier. Anyway, I've no electrical background and I've just finished my L2 2330 and PAT, and will be doing the L3 in September, as well as the 17th Edition, Part P and 2391. My employer (a private school) is...
