Seperation of circuits test

Hi guys, not posted for a while but have been doing lots of reading on this forum. I came across talk of dong a 'seperation of circuits test', for example when dong a cu change. Can someone kindly explain what that is as that's not something they taught us on the 2330.

Its to ensure that each circuit is electrically seperate from eachother. The most common use for this test would be to test for shared neutrals in lighting circuits.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm guessing it's done by checking continuity between an outgoing line and every neutral conductor in turn?

No an IR test between Line conductor of each circuit being tested.
