to save me some time what reg number please ?

Table 52.3to save me some time what reg number please ?
The previous Table 52.3 had a note to the lighting section regarding fans and the like but the new Table now incorporates power and lighting in the same part with 1.0 as the minimum copper size so no note required.. So connect whatever you will to a 1.0 circuit.I am only assuming so don’t shoot me down, but isn’t it the responsibility of the designer to ensure that the cable is sufficient for the load, and 1.0mm can be used to supply an extractor fan in the kitchen for example so technically it now relies on the definition of ‘power’, so given that those that use the regs are supposed to be competent then we should hope that applied knowledge is used?

Yes providing it is designed accordingly? The previous Table 52.3 had a note to the lighting section regarding fans and the like but the new Table now incorporates power and lighting in the same part with 1.0 as the minimum copper size so no note required.. Well there’s a surpriseIn AMD 2 there doesn't appear to be a definition of "power"
Well yes of course.Yes providing it is designed accordingly?
So why do we need a reg to tell us the minimum if we design correctly?Well yes of course.
The original 17th Ed had power and lighting together with a minimum size of 1.0 copper. The first amendment split them taking power up to 1.5.basically, we have gone back to 17th, which was 1mm for lighting & power. not sure when it changed (dont have 17th amd 1 or 2 here to check) but it was 1.5 for power in 17th amd3 & 18th
Still got a few I've confiscated over the years

I suspect they are just reflecting that all power does not have to be 13A or more power.Seems an odd change now I've looked at it
Roll on the idiots who will use this to justify socket circuits in 1mm .........
For the benefit of people who haven't bought AMD2 yet

As I said some will try it on. Samsung is one of them. There is no specific answer as it depends on who made the item in question.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your enquiry about changing a moulded plug.
Yes you can take the plug off without invalidating the warranty, as long as it is connected by a qualified electrician.
