2 Products With Hdmi Cable Only 1 Port

I have a customer with a samsung TV it appears to have a HDMI in and a HDMI out.

her sky box is plugged into the in port but she also wants to plug in her Apple TV also. 

Is there such a thing as a double adaptor or splitter.  Or can it be done.

yes, you can get 2into1 adapters,

either smart or manual,

As Stepto rightly said it can be done with a 2 in 1 out. It's rare for a tv to not have several HDMI inputs, sometimes they have them on the side and on the back. doubt it would have a hdmi out tbh! probably 2 hdmi's can see the point of an out as what ever is coming in would just go to other screen. but as said yes can get splitters seen them upto 5 way

but isnt that so you can go through it back to ur telly? cant see why a tv would have a hdmi out unless its for setting up dual displays.

Worth checking the user guide. Some TVs have an HDMI marked ARC out. This is still an hdmi input but also feeds the 'screen' audio back down that hdmi cable so at the other end a surround sound system can process it for a multi speaker system. Often HDMI 2 has ARC out as people like their sky box on hdmi1 and the surround system can then hold of the sky multichannel audio if sky is on screen

Otherwise yes get a splitter or use an AV amp with many inputs and a single hdmi for the monitor

She also doesn't know how to remove the tv from the wall mounted bracket any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

They both say HDMI IN, the grey part is the TV the other is possible devices to be plugged in.

I can run my RPi into my PC monitor reversally,  [did I make that word up?  :C   ]

ie, HDMI out on Pi into DVI on my PC monitor
