2 x 13A ovens on a ring circuit, what are your views on this, ok, or better practice to put one on its own circuit?

Its acceptable, however if all other appliances where to work at the same time, it may be prudent to put the higher stuff on a dedicated circuit.

whereabouts are they on the ring ??

both towards one end ???

if so i would tend to avoid it and split them

What about other appliances in the kitchen? Doesn't take long to reach max capacity of a ring in a kitchen without even taking an oven into account - kettle, dishwasher, toaster plus possible washer and drier.

Wouldn't be happy with it myself.

If possible, I`d seperate the ring into 2 x 20A radials; even though you still won`t be left with much in the way of overhead capacity - Much more preferable to give such fixed loads dedicated supplies :)

{tonights fun quiz: rearrange the above well know phrase!Blushing:p}

Assuming your ovens ARE 13a

e.g. 13A x 230v 2.99kWatt

Then as Mr K. Mr M. Mr E. says.....

Dedicated circuit! :|

Or if you prefer the guidance out of BIG RED...

try page 362... Appendix 15, Ring Cicuit... bullet point (iii)

General guidance to comply with reg 433.1.5 can be achieved by:-

connecting cookers, ovens & hobs with a rated power exceeding 2kW on their own dedicated radial circuit.
Thats 8.7amps or higher?

Double check the ACTUAL power rating of the ovens . ;)
