I think that is the prime issue, TBH - many of the "training courses" are a joke, and shouldn`t be allowed to continue "selling" a qualification.So YES those C&G level results are weeding out those that maybe shouldn't be there, either because they haven't put enough time and energy into it, or the level is just too high for them!! ...
OR is it, that today's trainee electricians just aren't getting the required level of training or experience that's needed to pass that final exam???
Anyway, ...I hope that gives a clearer understanding of my previous posting.
We`ve said it before - whilst money is the over-riding factor in the scam provider`s, and training provider`s agendas; standards will not rise again.
We need to get the focus away from the "how much revenue will this create for us?" question, and onto the "How do we teach the necessary skills better?"
