So YES those C&G level results are weeding out those that maybe shouldn't be there, either because they haven't put enough time and energy into it, or the level is just too high for them!! ...

OR is it, that today's trainee electricians just aren't getting the required level of training or experience that's needed to pass that final exam???

Anyway, ...I hope that gives a clearer understanding of my previous posting.
I think that is the prime issue, TBH - many of the "training courses" are a joke, and shouldn`t be allowed to continue "selling" a qualification.

We`ve said it before - whilst money is the over-riding factor in the scam provider`s, and training provider`s agendas; standards will not rise again.

We need to get the focus away from the "how much revenue will this create for us?" question, and onto the "How do we teach the necessary skills better?"

KME

Well you know the Answer to that question already!!! There is No Better training, than being an ''Indentured Apprentice'' .

As far as the ''older trainee'', self financing Government run, Trade Training Schools, ...maybe run in/with collaboration with local industry(ies)...

Privatisation (commercialism) hasn't worked in any sector that it has taken over from the ex public sectors. They were ''Public Services for a Reason, ...very few made any profit!! All privatisation has done, is cut the services they took over and increased the costs in order for them to make a profit!!!
