hi everyone ive been qualified  for a few years but have been working in security equipment for the most, ive been asked to fit some lights in a commercial building, the main  wiring has been done il be wiring the actual fittings with a connector and installing but it needs to be signed off, is this able to be done with a minor works certificate by myself? since it is only fitting the connector and plugging in above the ceilings but im unsure so need advice thank you guy and girls

Is this a new circuit? who installed the wiring? has it been tested? has any certificate been issued?

If you had done the whole job then an EIC or MWC

as i stated all wiring has been done the unit is a finished one but had lighting removed im literally wiring a new connector to new lights and plugging into the existing ceiling  mounted female connectors .

i believe they are the klick type ,ok thanks gents i will issue a minor works cert just to cover my behind, always nice to sure  i hope i can share some pearls of wisdom to others thank you

The notes in appendix 6 for the model forms does say that a minor works can be used for a replacement accessory or luminaries. With the proviso that irrespective of the amount of work, appropriate inspection and testing should be done. So if someone wants a certificate give them one with whatever level of testing you feel is appropriate to cover your back, but not leave you liable for others work.
