I had a little job to do this morning... replace 2 lights in someone's living room

Fair play, she said that they were going to be a pain so I allowed 2 hours for them....

OMG..... what a flipping pain they were  , they were from Next!!

They had a flat base about 14" in diameter and 10 thin flexes hanging from that to a glass shade on each with a frame inside which had "crystals" hanging from it,,, now it only took 10 mins to replace the fitting..... it took a further 1 hour 20 mins to adjust the length of the shades (which would have been wait height) and fix the shades (everything inside them was at fingertip length and I couldn't get my hand inside).....

Then I had another identical one to do....OH THE JOYS

and could I while I was there fit one of the ones that I'd taken down in another room (15 mins)

So guys,,, if anyone asks you to fit a "Bella 10 light cluster pendant" from Next..... you have been warned!!

I think I've done one of them on a landing!

bloody awful!!!

I refused to fit some make at home b&q fittings as they were such poor quality I kept cutting my fingers on the base and there were no factory connections.

I did one of those once.

Took me about half an hour.

I left the customer to hang all the "crystal" things on it.  I just wired the basic fitting and adjusted the pendant lengths.

Utter carp.

Nooooo the nightmares will return now.............. yes I too have had to fit the bella 10 and from the same outlet a chandelier  effort with loads off glass beads that had to be hung on it.
