Hello

I have a 2 way 2 gang in the front room and they're wired to the lights but the last one has a 3 core in it. Been told its to take the neutral back to the switch, is this correct?

And your question is?

There are many ways of wiring a lighting circuit. If you want help then try to explain better what your actual problem is.

The fact one of your switches has a 3 core cable connected probably just means it's part of a 2 way switching circuit, i.e you can turn that light on or off from two places.

Sounds to me like a 2 game switch controlling two lights via a three core to the first light and a twin from there to the second light
