I added a new circuit to this system and I'm filling in the EIC, as there is no previous records for this place and no details of type of fuses on the incomer what would you record on the EIC?

Also should the DNO be changing the metal header to plastic?

doesnt look immediately dangerous, but if your concerned, call DNO and ask them to check

we have soem DNO sparks on here who can tell you better what to do about it

I don't think the metal cut-out is an issue TBH, why does it need to be changed?

It looks like a 100a supply but as Andy says , none of us can take a look , I don't know why they put it on the certs , if you enquired , you'd wait for ever for an answer.

A main earth connection might be a good idea. Beggered if I can see it .

That cut out looks fine as it is at the momment, unless its presenting a problem then it should just be left, it may be changed if you require iso at a later date as most DNO's wont pull fuses live from M/C cut outs apart from that looks okay in regards to the cut out itself :)

Thanks for that, so if the client wants the old board changing which is obsolete, which require the fuse's pulling by the DNO then they should look at changing it, is that correct?

But to install an iso the fuse would be required to be pulled. Certainly with in the midlands/east midlands, a 3P cutout especily M/C wont have the fuses pulled will be a cut outside on cable then reconnection. as far as im aware this is standard across all the DNO's in the uk now, was partly drawn up by HSE so is in most DNOs COP's. Any work carried out be it by the metering operator or the DNO will take into account the fact there is a M/C cutout, and will have it changed, the cost to be honest isnt that much for the DNO costs the same as fitting a one shot is most cases.
Sparkss does the DNO cover the cost of digging and making good?

yes, they dig to make safe for them to work, its no diffrent from it being a fault that has caused loss of supply, they do what is needed to make safe and upgrade/repair if digging is needed then its covered by them same with makeing good.
