3 way light

how hard is it to add a 3rd switch to a currently 2 way light?

would i have to rewire both present switches with 3 core with the new intermediate switch in between the 2?or is there a less messy way?

no need to rewire present switches

simply run a 3core and cpc from 2nd switch to the new 3rd, swap 2nd switch plate for an intermediate, put existing switch at new position, whatever colour is in the common presently needs to be linked through from 1st switch to 3rd switch chocblock will do.

its not an extra cpc, it comes with the 3core!

as in 3core and earth cable, brown, grey, black and cpc

i'd re-read that elzappo, there wasnt a mention of an extra cpc

and 3 core on its own would work but the new cable wouldn't have circuit protection and so wouldn't be allowable
