I was going to post an interesting answer, but have had a drink or two, so when read back was not very interesting at all. Needless to say I have seen a few 690V supplies around the London area on larger buildings of multiple use.

naw, they use 692, thats maybe why their kit didnt work properly,

you supplied the wrong voltage? :slap

actually, on this subject,

how should we go about seperating the opposing phases from differing local substations?

that would make for some interesting voltage readings.

I have only ever once been on a site where they had multiple local substations and as it was of absolutely nothing to do with me at the time I never even thought about it,

but its something that has struck me about this.......
