I recently had ac installed and very happy with it...
My question.
I had several electricians visit as the ac company requested a 13a spur putting in from a nearby plug and ran outside to a 13a fuse and rotary isolator.
Most electricians came and quoted for the job accordingly however two stated I had to change the rcds in my fuse box to type A as I had type ac and the system is dc.
I realised this with the ac company and they said they'd installed 100's of systems without doing this and, when talking with the other ac companies I discovered none of the others have done anything other than a 13a spur.
The ac system is 6a maximum per I believe but is the Samsung windfree 5kw external with 2*2.5 kw internal units.
