Hi, I’m looking to change my career and become an electrician. I saw a company called access training offering a course that would take around 6-8 months to finish and at the end I could apply to be a junior electricians mate. I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of them and if they are any good? Also if anyone could recommend a company in Birmingham that I could do it with that would be a great help! I would do an apprenticeship at college but as I have many bills I don’t think I could afford to do it that route. Any help would be appreciated

Get into your local college for a proper course. There's a lot of 'fast track' expensive courses, but whilst they may teach you the theory, the don't teach the proper hands on skills you need.

Hail Mark Anthony, how's Cleopatra?
sorry I just had to ask

is that a real job?
never heard of that job title
what sort of work do you do now?
why the change?
apply for an apprenticeship at a big company
Hahah didn’t think of that. I don’t know that’s why I asked about it? I’m a groundworker and want a change as I hate working in the cold and pouring rain all the time and I want a more stable career as I’m always struggling for work. Okay I’ll have a look round and call a few places, thank you

I would love to but I need to make sure I’m still earning enough to cover my rent and bills that’s why I was thinking of paying for a course, if I can find a company to do it with then I would definitely give it a go. I don’t wanna fast track and screw myself over so I will definitely look into this more as I want a career from this. Thank you for your advice
