You can change the speed etc in settings mate
Ah thanks mate , I'll have a look at that.

Been trying to get my Norton Security to cover additional PC and getting nowhere. Theres a free month of Mcafee loaded at the moment . Sometimes I get really pi$$ed off trying to do the simplest of things on PCs . If it doesn't say " Do you want to add an additional PC to Norton?" anywhere I'm lost.

Is it better , I know nothing , Norton seems to do what it says on the tin TBH ? Thing is I have almost a year on Norton and the advertising says all their versions cover a second PC , just a matter of finding the right place .

Deke,

Have you just tried to load it up onto your new PC, then enter the same registration details that you did on your other one and it'll probably automatically know that this is a second PC

Jack in Norton mate. Download the free version of AVG and use Windows own firewall. There is an AVG Pro if you prefer and Zone Alarm is excellent too.

Use IE8, or Firefox if you like to have your passwords stored - no need for an extra program to do this for you.

I use AVG Free, Zone Alarm Free, & AvivaAV Free depending on the machine, along with AdAware Free, & windows own security, have had nothing in ever since I started using these, mind I also have a hardware NAT firewall.

Yes, AdAware is excellent, but AVG Free does have a spyware/malware component.

If you're using Zone Alarm, presumably you've got the Windows firewall switched off? When I mistakenly had both on they interfered with each other.
