hi M4tty, ive got some very simular, but to be honest they ended up at the bottom of my bag after about 2 weeks, it might be cos im left handed and the ones i have are designed to be use right handed but i still favour good sharp side cutters.

I've got a pair, I think they're great. Don;t use them so much on day to day stuff but more useful when you've dressed a cable round a panel\box or are in a tight corner, save tugging at it to strip the ends and ruining your nice dressing.

I also have them and didn't see the need for them when I got them initially but woudn't be without them now.

I have them too and yes, i aggree good for crimping, they are auto strippers and a crimper, i only used them when i was at college as your not allowed to use snips to strip cable (by the book) anywayz.... suposidly you get marks off in your Fica (AM2) for using snips/ pliars to strip the cable but its nothing major as everyone does it that way. but in all they are a great set of strippers and crimpers

But they are not rachet crimpers so what use are they really?

I have a similar pair, i do a lot of work on NG sites and they insist on the cables being stripped to a certain length and have very specific criteria about terminations so these type of strippers can be set to length and work very well.

I have some and wouldn't be without them. Especially good for flex cable

used them befor found them quite good but i use side cutters.

i dont like to keep switching between tools

They generally have individuall holes sized for different cables, and I find them too fiddely too use.

I did once see a pair without the holes, just straight blades, which were a lot easier to use.
