Arrows to LHS of posts?

What are these for?  Up & down arrows.

Its a Question and Answer forum - The up arrow is to vote (move) an Answer up as a best answer, a down arrow is to vote an answer down (move down) as not so good answer.

We will have a knowledgeable with screen shots for this sort of thing very soon.

Nothing is a waste of time if its to explain to members to better their use of the forum and if its a bug then we really would like to know as the team will look straight into it.
