Hi

I've got my first NIC assessment coming up for full scope DI.Does the H&S policy need to be highly detailed with written out risk assessments or can it be something a little less taxing on the old brain?

If you employ less than 5 people, you dont need a H&S policy, but you still need RA's

I think you will find Andy, that it is a requirement for NICEIC Enrolement

along with Risk assesment Regardless of How many people you employ ..if any !.

A1spark is right, you will need the h&s policy even as a one man band, it's a NICEIC requirement.

Dont forget you'll need the complaints log, thats on the NIC site as a download also.

Yes with BS you have to have a h&s policy.

As the others have said you do need H & S Policy, but can be simple and brief, the important thing is that it is meaningful and you are familiar with it's detail during the audit.

You do need a H&S policy,,,

I printed mine out from the NICEIC site,, along with the complaints stuff..

I put it in a folder along with a print out of PartP and wheel it out every year. I have never read it!!
