Is there anyway I can run a dimmer switch in my bathroom with a extractor fan. As I currently have a extractor fan with down light attached with I'm aware cannot run of a dimmer switch but I was thinking would it be possible to replace old extractor fan with down light to a non light humidity sensor fan one, on a separate switch

Why would you want a fan off a dimmer switch? Just put separate fan & light switches!!

Fans that come on with a light can be a pain in the rear if you just want to pop to the bathroom for a few minutes without the fan coming on.. And then staying on for several minutes after you have got back into bed and are trying to get to sleep, but can hear a fan whirring away!!

Yea I planned now to get the fan on a separate switch to bathroom dimmer with either motion or humidity sensor

Thanks
