guys Ive treated myself to a 2nd hand bar chiller. had a "refridgeration engineer" out who charged the gas but its still faulty. it chills for about 2 hours then after that creeps back up to roomish temp. everythings still whirring round etc Ive asked him to come back a few times but never shows up I think its in the too hard to do list.

I have just took the thermostat off  2 wire BR BK and checked power to it the brown apears live as ive got 240v between that and Earth. Blacck seems N as ive got 100v to earth and 240v to Brown. I did notice that the black was spaded connected to the L and the brown to the C  (live and common??)

could it be connected the wrong way round? would this make a difference ??

anyone else had this problem on fridge

cheers

bank hol warm beer.....booooo!

I changed the thermostat on an old Beko fridge as it kept frosting. Didn't make any difference even when I changed cables round. To me it sounds more like the gas is not sufficient although I am no fridge engineer.

On the subject of refrigeration Norfrost the last white goods manufacturer  in England who were actually from Scotland have gone into liquidation. Very sad, I need a thermostat for a freezer luckily partmaster sell them so I can get one.

Is the thermostat sensor mounted hard against the evaporator plate or is the fridge the type with internal fans and the t/stat is measuring return air temperature? Maybe a few pics of the fridge and the t/stat wiring would help if you can.

It may even be the wrong type of thermostat, a standard domestic fridge t/stat has a very high differential that allows the plate to defrost, a bottle cooler should have a much lower differential.
