The council are a waste of space “we no longer collect other than on the designated days for bins”.

A bonfire is looking like the easy option.

I am staggered by the attitude of some councils.  They won't take it from your home if it's not "just right" and won't let you take it to the tip. Then they wonder with utter surprise why fly tipping is on the increase.  :C headbang

Up here, if I have more cardboard than will fit in my recycling bin, I put it out on recycling day next to the bin, and the bin men take it. Simple.

If they are going to play silly buggers, have a bonfire and put the ash in the normal bin.

P.S roadside wheelie bins in laybys are handy things.
