i recently checked a job and noticed a new gas pipe has not been bonded. My question is does it need bonded. It is a commercial kitchen, at the moment the gas meter is outside and the old supply is what seems to be a 2" pipe enters the building and is bonded as it enters the building in that room with a 16mm cable (this supply is still used). the problem is an additional pipe has been tee'd off the supply outside after the meter and enters the building in a what seems to be 6" pipe. Would i need to run another seperate bonding conductor to this pipe as it enters the building or can i simply supplementry bond the 2" and 6" pipe?

Read reg 411.3.1.2.

Also the protective conductor sizes are

related to the size of the incoming size

of the associated line conductor.

Tables 54.7 of the regs.

The reg above states the requirement that

this bonding system is fitted to all of

the installations identified in the scope

and content.

Further to my last post, read also

Chapter 54 on the opening page as

this identifies the earthing and

other arrangements applicable to

the reg quoted.
