Anyone had their test kit yet? (Essex, over 60’s so don’t start getting jealous because you haven’t got one.)

It seems a bit icky but its got to be done, I’d rather know than not know.

It seems to be area based and only if your doctors practice “opts in” which seems silly to me. To my mind it should be country wide with no opt out for the practices.

It’s the postmen I feel sorry for, opening the pillar box to find “the envelopes” lurking there.

Brother in law got the kit a couple of years ago.....he described it very nicely ......like spreading peanut butter and marmite on a playing card!

my mate is Lead Consultant Gastro Enterologist at  local Hospital and he reckons the number of people NOT returning the kits is quite frightening.   It seems that a lot of people think "it will never happen to me".....in most cases they are wrong

just advising...pair of VDE gauntlets, clothes peg on the nose, teaspoon of honey and go for it!

why the honey I hear you ask....makes your vomit taste better !

In Scotland they start screening aged 50, then every 2 years. So I have done 2 now.  Not the most pleasant task.

SWMBO did her first last year and it came back positive. Then followed a second test kit and several weeks of waiting and sh!tting ones self (pardon the pun) before the second test came back clear.
