BT Broadband not working on one PC...

The BT Broadband is not working on my childrens PC. It is a BT Voyager 210 ADSL Router, the same as the one upstairs.

My eldest Son has tried my one on theirs, but still no joy.

It is something about an IP address.

Tried the repair option and I got the following message after the attempt failed:

"Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed:

Renewing your IP address

For assistance contact the person who manages your network."

Anyone got any ideas as to how this has gone like this and how to repair it please?

Sandra, you can have a day off with this one - you have done way too much computer work for us already.

Cancel that Mate - It has been sorted, the reason:

The Avast antivirus "NETWORK LOCK" was On.

You trying to run 2 modems on 1 line.

I use one of the two modems at any given time Barx.
