Just listening on the radio about this ..........  all of a sudden there are 35  young unaccompanied children who need protection , yet on the TV  there are 70 .  Now I hear there are 800 who are to be housed in shipping containers .    And now it is the first of 1300  ...so its the usual keep us in dark policy.

This place could have been taken down years ago ,  obviously prompted by Brexit.

Our social service people seem to interviewing the little children , many who have grown considerably and need a shave.

The older ones are pledging to sleep rough in France until they can get into Britain.          Up to yet I have seen no families there , just young men intent on entering this country , a country that has started its final decline into Third World status .

I see now that to accommodate the present incomers we need to build a town the size of Cardiff every year ....and still they come ....to quote he whom we must not name ...we must be mad!

I understand the duty to protect little children but explain Friday's sighting of 15 , young, foreign looking men trailing out of the local Co-op , all carrying plastic bags of shopping.

So where is that lot living ?   Perhaps they will be getting a non existent job at the non existent factory because apparently we need people to do these non existent jobs.

As they have just said on the radio .........if we take in the population of "The Jungle"    tomorrow ....they would be replaced within a week.

Just smoke and mirrors to distract you from the failing economy and incompetent politicians trying to break up the county's infrastructure and sell it off to anyone who'll listen.

We will be a nation of slaves before we know it!

Funny how the camp has festered for years, ignoring the international protocols that say you should apply for asylum in the first safe country you arrive in.  Then after all this time, we hear they are to be distributed in reception centres around France to be processed.  Erm isn't that what should have happened as soon as they arrived in France? (or probably in the previous safe countries they passed through to get to France)

I still don't understand why they think they UK is Utopia, but it must be a hell of a lot better than where they came from. They really need to send the economic migrants straight back home, it's the only way to stop encouraging further economic migrants. True refugees I have no problem with.

OOoooh  dear  I just heard a report from the people of a North Devon village,  missed the name .....they are really NOT happy to hear that a bunch of " Children" from Calais are to be moved in there.

I have to say ...we wouldn't have heard from them if they had been shipped into Birmingham with the millions of others already here.

Sorry Devon ...  but welcome to the real world.

The thing is france the first EU country they hit should sort them out and not keep passing them down the chain till they get to us......

Hum.... some friends of ours spent 6 years in France - he had a job with an international company, so she thought it would be a good idea to get a job...

She spoke fluent French

She got her papers ALL translated by the French at her cost

She applied for hundreds of jobs

She never got a job.......

He lost his job when a new French General Manager was appointed and ALL the international employees were managed "out" of the business....

The French do not want "foreigners" working in France, and they, unlike the UK, take a very dim view on people working on the black market.....

The French, according to the press, "assist" these people in their goal of travelling to Calais.....

France, without the EU CAP and the intervention by the French Government in their industries, would be a total basket case.........companies were told to cut hours so they would employ more people - so they cut the hours and didn't employ people....... the rich were made to pay more tax, so they stopped employing more people........companies won't employ more people because the French has such strong employment rights.......... there are very few people who are self employed in France because they are not encouraged nor rewarded nor treated sensibly by their tax authorities.....

Just saying....

are you suggesting they might move into the Houses of Parliament and could Play at being Guy Fawkes with real gunpowder and a successful plot?????  :innocent
