Hey Folks,

just a question re the above exam. Our teacher sprung it on us at college on Monday evening, that we would be starting the exam this evening. I'm thinking this probably won't be the case and that we'll be given more warning, does anyone know if C&G send out paperwork with your examination date on it, like they do with the theory exams?

No they dont mate. well they didn't with us anyway. Bit late on isn't it? we did ours a few weeks ago. College over now for me this year. Thought everyone was similar situation.

can't say for all colleges but at my college the teacher that took us for practical lessons was also a registered assessor and so it was all done in house.if it's the same for you then they can do it when they like.i believe the practical exam should take a maximum of 10 hours but that's not necessarily in one sitting.at my college we were told when the exam would be and also given time to make any metal conduit work in class first.that way we had preperation done and then came in and had 6 hours to do the exam.then we did our live tests in normal classtime a little later.
