Can i use an old BT HH v1.0 with talk talk?

I have a crap talktalk wireless router that keeps me frustrated every day.

I have an old BT HH v1.0 in the garage so my question to all you network experts is can i use it and if so what are the steps i have to take.

Providing you are swapping like for like...

i.e ADSL for ADSL

and you can access the password and login setup bumff..

I swapped the broadband phone lines from the talktalk router to the BT one and all the lights were on but there was no-one or broadband at home

Hello,

The BT home hub has its Encapsulation locked to BTs network, you have to hack them in order to enable connection to other ISPs.

That's way over my head paperclip. Give me a 3 phase system I'll be fine but a wireless router and I'm lost mate

Yep BT lock the router down so it will only connect on a BT line

I just bought a router and threw the BT modem away now its happy days i get wireless everywhere now
