Cannot Get Online With Desktop Pc ..any Ideas ?

Card may be integrated into the mobo? can be disabled though and new one put in I have some I'd happily send but I have no Idea where they are in this junkheap

When i put in a network card, i just ignored the on board one. works fine.

OK   I want to thank everyone for their advice (again !!)  

I am now back online with the desktop , sorted .    Yanked the supply lead out of the PC  .&...switched off the BT5 Hub about 2 hrs ago .

Powered back up, connects to Broadband and here I am .  

The PC seemed to be locked into an unbreakable  everlasting circuit of putting widows up saying   "Trying to connect "    "Trying to Dial-up " " Enter username & Password "  ..."Do this "   Do That ..Do the other  /...." Canot connect "... "Diagnosing "...  "Windows saysTheres nothing wrong...stop being silly"  ......" WHy don't you ask Steptoe .com ?"

No you did it .... I killed power to the  Hub AND the PC  2 hrs ago ........seems to have done the trick . :Salute
