Hi all,

I have a Belle Cement mixer 240v. The mixer will only work if I hold the "On" button down but as soon as I let go it will cut off.
Its as if the button isn't getting energised. I have ordered a new switch.

Does anyone know if the switch is at fault?

Thanks

Is it the kind of switch with a green and red button? Machines like that often have a no-volt release coil safety feature - the switch will only latch on if the coil is energised and will drop out if the power cuts. A safety feature so you aren't harmed when the power is restored. The coil can burn out or get broken by vibration. Either way just replace the switch unit.

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it's the Green and Red type of switch. I've ordered a new one.
Thanks.
