anyone got one?

I need to change the cam belt on the van and just wanted to make sure there is no weird or wonderful thing I need to be aware of.

2.0 HDi  or whatever it is they call it.

same as a peugeot boxer or fiat ducato.

many thanks.

Belt tension is the only issue.

I have a Peugeot Diesel engine on my digger.  When I changed the cam belt on that, the manual tells you that you need a special tension gauge and the job should be left to a Peugeot dealer.

My local independent mechanic told me that was a load of bollox and showed me how to tension it.

You normally lock the cam, the flywheel and injector pump pulley with locking bolts to preserve their timing, but I could never locate the one on the flywheel so I just didn't move it.  and yes turn it over several rotations by hand before trying to start it.
