That type of thing, but not that one. Some i fitted a short while ago were a long aluminium extrusion we cut to length on site and various modules clipped in.

but if you put them on their own rod you can adjust the depth to get them individually finely tuned,.

now, I may have stumbled across a new business venture for the gullible,

I could go around russ andrews customers finely tuning their earth rods, competitively priced at

prob not. just another load of junk .Think it daft some of the stuff that is sold on the site..

There must be a mug born every minute to buy all that junk...... Why they all so obsessed with "clean earth" ?? I would be more worried about the funny waveform of the power that arrives at their house in the first place, especially with all the other funny "geek like" electronic gadgets they no doubt have connected to their installation.

Besides, they cannot have individual earths for each socket anyway, cos the earthing arrangement must also be part of the arrangements for equipotential bonding, so what is the point??

john..

I'm have a big interest in hifi and at one time could swear I could hear a difference if I plugged the amps into a ring as opposed to a spur. Then I woke up, returned to the real world and common sense prevailed. Now the hifi runs happily off the downstairs ring along with the fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and kettle (not all at once) and it sounds bloomin' marvellous. But that's because i'm back playing vinyl!

Anyone wanting a laugh should check out Russ Andrews. Here's a man who will convince you that

from russ andrews site :-

In light of this, Russ has recently tested a quantity of the most modern, up-to-date consumer units fitted with RCDs. He found that their performance is now comparable to the older units without RCDs - he assumes it's because the design has been changed to make RCDs even safer, with the benefit of sounding better in a Hi-Fi installation. Of the units he tested, he's selected the very best performing one and we're offering it here fitted with the correct RCD and MCB circuit breaker for a single Hi-Fi or Home Cinema circuit, fully treating the contacts with DeoxIT for better performance.

so does hagar like their kit opened and faffed about with ?

T.

dont think they opened any RCD's.

probably just choose the first RCD they found. so it could have been just about any make

and either way, it doesnt matter if hager like someone opening one of their products or not. as long as he bought it, then he can do whatever he likes with it

you know what,

Im going to start specialising in HI-FI installs,

Im liking the profit margins for slackening the screws a bit so they all line up,

I just need KME on speed dial now to tell me if its N-S or E-W depending on if the house has 3 bedrooms or 4.
