Hi all,
apologies in advance; very new to all this so these may be stupid questions!
I had a solar install completed yesterday, consisting of 2 strings of 7 panels. Total installed capacity is 4.7KW.
There are a couple of things that are making me question whether the system is working properly. Firstly, it's generating about 1KW at the moment (11 am, early feb, bright with no clouds and south west facing). There's no shading I can see. Is that a reasonable output given the time of year?
Secondly, the 1st string has a consistently much lower output than the 2nd (generally around a 30:70 ratio). They're in the same location and orientation, one row above the other. PV1 has 2 TIGO's installed, and PV2 has a single one (there's a gas flue that can cast a shadow at certain times).
Am I just being paranoid, or is it possible there's an issue with one or other of the strings?
Thanks,
Gareth
