This frightens me to the bone!! Surely a guy doing a 'homer' a guy just out his time etc would be a hell of a lot safer. Just pay someone to do it. Why u even think its acceptable to be doing this is unreal. Cut the seals?? Jeaso we are now on a forum and guys giving people like this the incentive to basically say yea we ain't ment to but just cut it anyway. Please remember guys we have worked very hard to get to where we are today and guys that think hey I've changed a bulb before now I'm an electrician!!!! I agree tht this trade needs some serious certification like gas safe. If u mess with electricity serious consequences can and will happen.

Surely that's there problem if they DIY it? I've got no probs with people doing their own work in their own homes, more for me to put right later !
