hi there

Was just wondering what your opinion of this is.

Does this intake need updating by the local DNO? It looks to me that it is out of date by some way. Could i expect the DNO to come out and update it at their cost?

ps hope the pic uploaded, first one I've done.

many thanks

The picture has uploaded ok, I can see it. Why do you think the intake is dangerous? just because something is old does not necessarily mean it is dangerous.  Electrical equipment doesn't have any best before or expiry date, so it cannot be out of date as such. Providing it is electrically intact and of a suitable rating for the loads it has to carry I doubt the DNO would do anything without charging you.

Thanks everyone

Should've been clearer, was just enquiring if the earth wire was ok really.

Finally got round to testing before I change the CU, the Ze is fine, 0.56 ohm, so on to the next job!!

Cheers for all input
