Hi,

Got a friend whos moving kitchen to front room and vice versa. Cooker point mid level above worktop in existing kitchen to be moved other side of wall. The cable is in safe zone at moment but if I extended the cable maintenance free crimps heatshrunk in a choc box plastered over and carried the cable down through wall into new kitchen would you class as being in the zone as its in other room :) circuit will be rcd'd of course but wondered whether to run in a new circuit as this way dont seem right to me or am I fussing over nothing ?

Cheers

if the wall is more than 50mm thick then no

best way is to drill hole through wall at top (within 150 of ceiling) then down the other side, extending if necessary
