changed a few light fittings to pendants a few weeks ago. existing lights were larger, so there is now some broken plaster around the light. anyone know of something that will fit between the ceiling & pendant to fill the hole? something like the plate on a downlight converter or similar

Silly question but, can't you use the downlight adapter in white?...just a thought..... :coat
i already though of that, and its what ill probably end up using

well, it looks like i get out of working tomorrow, not driving 30 miles to a job to then have to go back monday to fit 2 downlight converters...

I have a load of discs that seem to be for this very purpose,, got them off a mate who was selling a load of stuff for another mate of his (money to charity), IIRC there is no make or part number on them:(

If you can wait I could dig some out and post them to you

In the past I have cut discs with a Large hole cutter and some white plastic sheet from a soffit cut off. Cleaned up the edges with a file and it looked passable.

I generally fill with foam, then taping and joint filler (basically a superfine filler with glue/resin, comes ready mixed, great for all filling, wood, plaster etc)which can be sanded and painted.

probably the best kept decorators secret!

This stuff is awesome, never without a tub on the van

I've seen the damage that Andy tm causes to ceilings , I think you'll find he'll need something like a dustbin lid TBH ; \
