I would only add that the older Horstman Time switches ( much used in this area) are electro-mechanical and if the U-No-OO fairy has been you can trip the timer for testing .

 
Thanks guys...Zs is ok to to. was just the pfc etc that was the prob. will nick the tales from the other board.

is it ok to use a double board for both? Or is there a regs saying separate boards?

 
Some makes of Economy 7 Radio time switch, will turn the E7 supply on for a couple of minutes as soon as you re insert the main fuse. Only when they have established the time, which takes a couple of minutes, will the E7 supply turn off again until it's supposed to come on.

Handy for testing.

 
you must mean when the DNO put the fuse back in surely, because nobody would remove it themself would they :innocent
